If you wish to attend a classroom training program on Business Analytics in India, you would realize that there are plenty of options to choose from. Broadly classifying there are:
- Universities and colleges
- Private Training institutes
Many universities and colleges including IIMs, IITs, NMIMS, SP Jain, ISB, Great Lakes etc, have started offering comprehensive courses in Business Analytics. These are generally 1 to 2 year programs and some of them offer a MBA in Business Analytics as well.

These programs are however expensive and can cost you anywhere between INR 5L – 20L depending on the institution and the duration of the program. Some of the programs may be selective and admissions may be competitive too.
Private Training Institutions also offer certificate or diploma courses which are generally shorter in duration (6 months – 1 year). The advantages of such program are:
- Courses are generally industry oriented
- Higher emphasis on learning the software and tools used for analytics
Private institutions offer a range of option to choose a program that fits your learning objectives, time commitments, and your budget. Some private institutions offer excellent placements too. So before you decide from where you would like to pursue your Analytics program, research on these parameters: Reputation of the institution, Course content, Duration of the program, Cost, Faculty profiles, Past & current student feedback, and Past placements.
